Surat Delhi new service opens the world to Surat

Surat to Delhi  Flights now at Rs.4,500 fixed fare in both directions.
Surat will be connected with one more flight on the Delhi - Surat - Delhi sector during the late evening hours by the national Carrier Air India. This flight is operated by Air India under its own code with flight numbers AI/489 and AI/490. This flight is in addition to the existing morning service the national carrier operates under code sharing agreement with its subsidiary Alliance Air DBA Air India regional. The main attraction is the fixed fare of Rs.4,500 in both directions.

Air India requires Financial Guarantees from Surat

In a first of its kind for domestic aviation in India, Air India has asked a city for financial guarantee to enhance air connectivity. The fliers from Surat were elated by news published that Air India will deploy an Airbus A320 equipment during evenings in addition to the CRJ700 service operated six days a week by its subsidiary Alliance Air DBA Air India Regional. What the newspapers have not reported is the financial strings attached to this announcement.

He has been researching why Air India continuously ignores Surat even though their subsidiary Alliance Air earns amongst the highest per passenger revenue from Surat as against their other favored airports. The research has been carried out after filing umpteen number of RTI applications.
